Born in Caracas, raised in Boston, schooled in LA, Manolo Celi is a storyteller with a love for magical realism and subtle comedy. He is known for injecting sincerity and truth in all of his work. After working as an agency producer for DDB in Miami, Manolo launched his career as a commercial director with an award-winning campaign for Britewhite in 2007. He has since helmed campaigns for such brands as State Farm, McDonald’s, Walgreens, Downy, and Time Warner Cable. In addition to his commercial work, Manolo has directed a number of award-winning short films that have played in festivals worldwide. Currently, he is in post-production on his first feature, Tony Tango, slated for release in 2012. Manolo lives in New York City. His office is the world. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, and in some foosball circles, he is known as "El Rifle".
